Moth on the Building

So, I was told today that there was a HUGE HUGE HUGE moth on our building at work, so I took a picture of it. It was pretty big, and very cool looking. After doing some research, I think it maybe a sphingidae moth. Maybe even a Intermediate Sphinx.

More pics here.

Blur and a stray

Since I took a picture of Pip last week, it's Blur's turn. Here's a great picture of him and the stray Mini-blur in one of Blur's favorite spots.

Here's another great picture of Mr. Blurby Pants.

Just got back from Vegas

So I just got back from Las Vegas. I'm exhausted, and who knew that America West was merging with US Airways? Not me. AND...I'm going to bed.

Funny Star Wars, So Wrong

If you're going to be watching anything on the net the day you read this, you'll SERIOUSLY want to watch this. That is...only if you are not offended by really crass humor and dirty language and actually you have to find that funny, and know about Star Wars.

Seriously, it's got some harsh and dirty language. You've been warned.

If this offends you, don't click on anything. Just keep reading another post. But if you find it funny, keep on goin.

Playing quarters

Everyone that's ever been in a fraternity, or has played drinking games, knows this one. Quarters. It's pretty simple, bounce a quarter off the table into a cup, pass it to the left. If you get caught with two cups, you drink. Anyway, I'm pretty good at quarters, and I remember being at a Lamda Phi Alpha party at Penn where I played quarters and intentionally had to put a quarter into the pitcher in the middle of the table because I was thirsty.

However, I think this guy is better than I am.

Going on a trip

I'm going to Las Vegas on Friday. It's going to be a pool trip. I'm going for the 2005 APA National Team Championships. While my team is not going, I'm going with a few fellow APA members. It should be a fun time playing in the minis. I'll take as many pictures as I can remember to take, and I'll put them up on this site.

Wish me luck!

Windshield replaced

Alrighty, I give up. I finally got my windshield replaced. They came on Wednesday, and they brought the wrong molding. So I told them to order the right molding. They got it in, and my windshield was just replaced. However, some cars have a band of blue tint across the top of the windshield. My car did not. It does now. And, if you can imagine, a blue stripe on the windshield of a black car doesn't look so good. Man I'm so irritated and not impressed at all. I think I'm going to call them and have them install the right one. This is ridiculous.

By the way, I went through GEICO, and they put me in touch with SafeLite. They SafeLite guy was very professional and nice. He did a great job.

Been Busy

So I've been really busy since last Friday. If you either work with me or know what I'm working on, then you'll know why. So, here's my latest problem. While driving on Route 66 in Virginia on Saturday, and rock came up and cracked my windshield. How fun. Now, this is the car that I've had for just over a month, my baby. So, I called up my car insurance company, and we made an appointment for them to come to my office and fix my windshield. They called me, and are like, "We're outside your house right now." AWESOME. So, I drive to my house, and the guy looks at my car and says, "Yeah, we don't have that molding, and it'll take between 2 and 3 days to get it." This is essentially how the past week of my life has gone.

What else has happened? Well, I played Mike Massey in pool, and got a few pictures taken with him. He won, but I should have. I had more chances than anyone else. Yeah, I'm shooting solids.

I've realized that I subscribe to retail therapy. Recently, I've bought a few books, an FM transmitter, AC Auto/Air/Wall Power Adapter (since I forgot mine on a trip to the colo), and a few other things. I think I'm most happy about the power adapter. It's pretty badass.

Oh yeah, and I got a Moleskine notebook! w00t!

Friday Cat Play and Guard

This little black cat is hyper! He plays with my toys, eats my food, chases me around and I've tried to teach him that this is my house. So therefore, I'm guarding the upstairs and preventing him from coming up here. This is my last stand.

My 15 minutes? I hope not

While looking through my apache logs today I noticed a few search strings that I thought were quite unusual. Among the search strings are: haha, mullet, fat people, 7610. But, the one that really caught my eye: girl crotch. So I decided to google girl crotch. Well, to my amazement (and disbelief), my page is number 1 of about 1.26 million. Lucky me. It's not even what you think either. If you look at the actual picture, it's just this girl's crotch. Some random girl that wanted my friend to take her picture, and I just zoomed in and took a picture of her crotch. Yeah, I'm twisted like that. Of course, and then I post it. If you know her, I'm sorry. This is just too funny now to take down.

Try it for yourself.

Boycott IE

I've long since abandoned IE for Firefox by Mozilla. Now, Paul Thurrott, a Windows guru has called for a boycott of IE7. Generally, Thurrott writes very kindly of Windows. This time, he's not so nice:

Boycott IE. It's a cancer on the Web that must be stopped. IE isn't secure and isn't standards-compliant, which makes it unworkable both for end users and Web content creators.
Sounds good to me.

I guess Atkins thought money was made of carbs

Apparently, Atkins Nutritionals has filed for Chapter 11. This on top of Dr. Atkins dying of a heart attack (if my memory serves me correctly).
