So, once this election is over, I'll be all kinds of out of sleep. So, I'm going to go on this cruise. Journey, REO Speedwagon and Styx. Beat that!
I've spent more time in Ashburn, VA these past few weeks than I would ever care to admit, count, or pretend I enjoyed. I think that when the convention is over, I'm going to go to Vegas, or Florida or something. Man oh man. I'm beat. Although all the sunrises I've seen have been nice.
So, this past weekend was the APA (American Poolplayers Association) Spring Season playoffs. We qualified for tier 2, and ended up in first place, so we got a bye for the first round. We played up at Sports 2000 in Dundalk.
We anihilated the first team we played, 3-0. I won all 4 of my games, and our team actually went 12-0 for the day. Therefore, we returned today, and some of our team members could not make it. I lost the first match in a nail-biting 3-4 match, and since we only had 2 players left, we forfeited the other 4 matches. Oh well. Best of luck to them.
So, in my years of perusing the internet, I've found a bunch of things that are just completely wrong. Things that once you see, you know you're going straight to hell. Something like a rotten.com, but not so much of the gore. It's just....well, wrong. If you don't know what I mean, here's an example:
The rest aren't as clean/couth/impromptu.
Mind you, I didn't create any of these, (I don't think), but here's what some people say about this link:
That's just wrong.
I know there's a little place in hell that they're saving for me.
Straight to hell.

Ok, so it's the third weekend in a row that I've been in the office. Well, in the office or at the colo. From all the things that people have told me about pre-election time here, I didn't really believe them. I guess they were'nt lying though. It's crazyasholycrap. Anyway, I guess I should get to work. There's a lot of stuff that I have to get done before I go golfing tomorrow. I think we're going back to General's Ridge in Manassas. That should be a good break. I hope I remember to bring my camera this time.
So, as consolation, Snowdog and I went golfing yesterday rather than going to work. Which I guess would explain why we're working today. We played at General's Ridge in Manassas Park, VA. I shot relatively well, and Dog shot the best round of his life.
General's Ridge is a beautiful course, with lots of hills, a few bunkers and a few water hazards. There is a lot of wildlife that lives on the heavily wooded course, and we got to see quite a bit of it. I walked up to about 4 feet from an enormous (and gorgeous) hawk. Right after that, we saw a fairly large doe with two fawn. Of course there were the standard turtles, etc. The ranger told us that there are two hawks, wild turkeys, and lots of copperhead snakes. I'm glad I didn't see any of those babies.
