Scuba diving this weekend

This weekend, I'm going down to Cape Hatteras, on the Outer Banks area of North Carolina. Me and a few of my scuba diving buddies are going to go diving with Outer Banks Diving on a trip with the National Dive Center here in DC. It should be a great time, we're staying at the Hatteras Marlin, and I don't think that any of us have been there before.

It should be a great time. I've heard so much about the area, and many of the cars in this area have the OBX oval stickers, so it's got to be a popular place around here.

Unfortunately, the NOAA doesn't have a particularly favorable weather forecast for the area:

SAT
NE WINDS 20 TO 25 KT WITH GUSTS TO 30 KT. SEAS 5 TO 8 FT. A
SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND TSTMS.

SAT NIGHT
NE WINDS 15 TO 20 KT. SEAS 4 TO 7 FT. A SLIGHT CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND TSTMS.

SUN
NE WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 4 TO 6 FT SUBSIDING TO 3 TO 5 FT.

That area of NC is called the ship graveyard of the east, with Outer Banks Diving visiting a bunch of wrecks.

I'm going in a group of 4, and we're all PADI certified Open Water Divers, but I'm the only Advanced Open Water Diver of the four of us. That means that I can go to 120', where my friends can go to a maximum of 60'. I have not decided whether or not I'm going to go with them both days, or just one day and go see something else the other day.

Stay tuned, pictures to come (even though my camera is broken). I hope I don't end up like this seal though.
